I was at the market yesterday in search for new goodies and saw Bionaturae Bilberry Fruit Spread & Sour Cherry Spread on the shelf. Not a grain eater, I had to come with something creative besides a slice of toast to incorporate these delicious, exotic, sugar free, antioxidant rich jams into a recipe.
The Winter season is great for stewed fruit, especially pears and apples. Eating the same stewed fruit blend can get boring and we all need a little kick as the temperatures drop outside.
The next time you make your stewed fruit, try adding 1 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon of the above jam choices into your fruit for a splash of color, flavor and nutrients. Jam is still sweet so don’t over do it!
