How to Find Inner Peace



Has it occurred to you that everything you do, from satisfying your food cravings, to wanting the perfect partner, is to help you to find inner peace?

When you break it down, inner peace is what we all want the most.

Yet, it is inner peace that slips through our fingers, leaving us panting and reaching for it at every turn. Where is it exactly?

The funny thing is that inner peace is never to be found on the outside.

It has surprised me many times how some of the most physically beautiful people + wealthy people feel worthless and desolate inside.  Material things help one to have a good life, but don’t give a golden ticket to inner peace.

The search for inner peace is a life-style decision.  

Here are reflections to help guide you. Take care of yourself.  Strive to have a beautiful and loving life.  May you find inner-peace.

  1. Be present to your current situation without grasping.
  2. Focus only on what’s right in front of you.
  3. Drown out distractions and noise.
  4. Be with the realities of life regularly. Recognize that everything ends.
  5. Feel the nourishment in your immediate surroundings.
  6. Find your own unique balance.
  7. Feed your needs.
  8. Refine your discrimination skills.
  9. Allow yourself space to be untamed.
  10. Respect your own boundaries.
  11. Know when to talk and when to keep silent.
  12. Watch what you think. What do you tell yourself?
  13. Cultivate a spiritual practice. 
  14. Change your negative dialogue to positive dialogue.
  15. Shift your perception for a different view of reality.
  16. Limit intake of social media & news.
  17. Eat beautiful to feel beautiful.
  18. Don’t overwhelm yourself with too many choices. Simplify.
  19. Increase your time in Nature.
  20. Connect with new people.

  22. Break out of your comfort zone. Move your body in new ways.
  23. Step back to rest and regroup. This allows a new space to open up inside.
  24. Find a way to un-stuck those stagnant spots.
  25. Make the difficult decisions. Don’t linger too long in indecision.
  26. Get proper REST.
  27. Make time for play.
  28. Pour more energy into your core interests versus external extravagance.
  29. Cultivate your interests.
  30. Give time to sit in the unknown.
  31. Allow life to show up differently for you.
